Autumn Gift



A shower of gold in the autumn leaves
our Heavenly Father has sent
from His loving Hand to brighten our days
and fill us with warm content
ere the winter comes with its chilly blasts
and our beautiful trees are bare;
for we'll know 'neath the leaves
and the falling snow
the beauty of spring is there!

Like letters from Heaven they cover the ground,
whispering of His love.
"Though trouble may come and seem to hold sway
for a time in your life, look above!
The losses, the pain, the contrary winds
can't drive you beyond His care.
Fear not." They whisper,
"Though sorrows may come,
Jesus is always there!"
